Wausau Tile offers several courses in an effort to educate the architectural sector of our industry. A variety of subjects is covered in our course offerings. The subjects range from ADA compliance to Precast Concrete to the hottest subject around, Green Products. The course offered and a brief synopsis of each is listed below:

Program No. 1 - Advantages of Precast Terrazzo and Accessories

This program is designed to provide you with an overview of precast terrazzo products, their applications and the manufacturing process. Attributes of terrazzo products and installation methods will be touched on as well.

Program No. 3 - Concrete Stands the Test of Time

Learn how the durability of precast concrete can be made beautiful and functional through a variety of designs, colors and finishes for any project inside or out.

Program No. 4 - Green Products

Sustainability has become a major issue in the design and construction of many building projects. This program explains how 100% recycled glass is used in precast concrete. Learn how pre-cast concrete products with recycled glass can qualify for LEED points on your next project.

Program No. WSF 102 - Security with Precast Concrete

This program covers the criterion used in the design of perimeter security. The program will also cover K-ratings and how they are used in the size and design. Learn how precast concrete products can offer beauty as well as effective security by utilizing different styles, colors and finishes.

Program No. WTA 101 - Accessibility with Precast Concrete and Terrazzo

Every newly constructed or renovated project must comply with ADA guidelines for accessibility. This program identifies specific areas of compliance, what kind of precast concrete and terrazzo products can be used and how and why they comply. This program targets wheelchair-accessible tables, ground and floor surfaces as well as detectable warnings.

Program No. WTP 103 - Precast Concrete Paver Roof-Deck Systems

Low-sloped roof materials have changed due to the issue of Heat Island Effect. This program explores practical roof installation methods for concrete pavers and will identify paving materials that are not only energy efficient but also qualify for LEED points for both roof and non-roof areas.

Program No. WT300 – Plant Tour: Manufacturer of Precast Concrete and Terrazzo

Professionals will be taken on a tour of our manufacturing facilities, where they will learn the processes as well as the design aspects of manufacturing precast concrete and precast terrazzo products. Professionals will also learn the green practices in place throughout our 450,000 sq. ft. campus.
